Editorial: Political Power-plays

Here is a link to Project SEEEDs' co-founder Peter Maniscalco's editorial, published in the April 27th paper edition of Newsday.  In it, he explains why he thinks Caithness II (and repowering the legacy plants) are still contenders in our energy market despite PSEG's findings that Long Island does not need any new power generation until at least 2024.

Maniscalco's final paragraph, omitted by Newsday, should have read as follows:

"Gov. Cuomo can set a positive example for all Long Island school children by saying 'no' to out-dated, politically motivated repowering studies and 'no' to constructing Caithness II, while saying 'yes' to clean, renewable energy investments which will create 'green' jobs that grow the Long Island economy, while protecting our environment."
